THE AUTHOR

Tossed, a book for middle grade readers, is set in rural northwestern Rhode Island. The story is told along two timelines: the colonial/Revolutionary war era, where a certain mystery was created and the 21stC present day era, when Drew MacIntyre with newfound friends Annie and Andy work together to discover the local secrets that unlock the mystery.

S.M. Reilly is new to fiction. But she’s no stranger to writing. She had a long career as a business writer crafting qualitative research studies. She moved to Rhode Island in the 1980’s and loves her adopted state. She lives in Jamestown, Rhode Island along with her partner, two Maine Coon cats and one large Bernedoodle. When not putting pen to paper, she can be found creating things with her hands: cooking/ baking, sewing, quilting, knitting, and performing antique furniture restoration. She is also a four-time national champion in the sport of court tennis.
